In the new article about the international convention in Manila, the picture of the crowd is pretty telling. They look so drained and miserable!

If I was still PIMI, I'd be terrified
by neat blue dog injust looking at the pictures in tomorrow's wt study makes me think of the nightmares i used to have as a child.
and nowadays the pictures are sometimes more realistic, so for any who are truly mentally in, this has a terrible effect on them and even their life choices.
looking in as a pimo or pomo it seems almost comical that adults would believe in this sci-fi bible fan-fiction, but it's not funny when we remember that all ages of the r&f are being manipulated by the gb by these cheap and evil means.. .

Ewart Chitty
by NoAbuse inewart chitty was appointed as secretary-treasurer , which position he held until his appointment to the governing body in november 1974.. when in brooklyn, chitty seems to have preferred younger men as roommates.
the actual charge brought to the gb against chitty was made by a former roommate and involved some sort of inappropriate conduct.
the gb concluded that chitty had homosexual tendencies, and asked him to resign.. a rare photo of chitty in happier days.

For any lurkers reading this, Greenlees was a pedophile that was caught molesting a child of a friend. The GB did what they often criticize Christendom of and swept it under the table, merely transferring him elsewhere. A very brief and vague reference was made to it in the WT, but no names of course. I don't have links at the moment but this has all been documented and can be found if you really want to know.

She doesn't sound angry to me Simon, but you do bring up a good point:
what they have been told about you
The way the gossip machine goes it could be anything under the sun. OR it could just be the natural JW assumption that if you're inactive you must be stumbled or depressed, because there's no other logical reason.

There's another recent painting that REALLY drives me up the wall: There's this war room with generals, etc. making plans against JWs, and there's multiple images of JW Broadcasting on the screen beside them. Lol get over yourselves! This wet dream of yours will NEVER happen!

January 2020 WT, earthly hope
by neat blue dog inone of the latest wts rehashes this core jw theology.
i know it's old hat, but i feel it's always worth pointing out, as it's one of the major things to wake me up and it's relatively easily proven using the bible alone.. throughout the bible, there aremany examples of men of faith who re-ceived holy spirit; yet, they did not havethe hope of living in heaven.
john the baptistwas “filled with holy spirit.” (luke 1:13-16) jesus said that there was no mangreater than john, but then he said thatjohn would not be included in the heav-enly kingdom.

One of the latest WTs rehashes this core JW theology. I know it's old hat, but I feel it's always worth pointing out, as it's one of the major things to wake me up and it's relatively easily proven using the Bible alone.
Throughout the Bible, there are
many examples of men of faith who re-
ceived holy spirit; yet, they did not have
the hope of living in heaven.
. . .
John the Baptist
was “filled with holy spirit.” (Luke 1:13-
16) Jesus said that there was no man
greater than John, but then he said that
John would not be included in the heav-
enly Kingdom. (Matt. 11:10, 11)Jesus didn't say that. He implied that those coming after him would accomplish greater things.
It simply means that
Jehovah will bring them back to life in
Paradise on earth.—John 5:28, 29; Acts
24:15.Again, it says nothing of the sort. Those two scriptures cited simply make general references to the resurrection. They say nothing at all about Earth, but to any JW casually reading, the inclusion of 'references' makes it seem superficially reinforced.
The vast majority of God’s servants
on earth today do not have the hope of
living in heaven.Because they are told that isn't an option.
Like Abraham, Sarah,
David, John the Baptist, and many oth-
er men and women in Bible times, they
look forward to living on earth when
God’s Kingdom will rule over them.
—Heb. 11:10.That last scripture cited says,
"For he was awaiting the city having real foundations, whose designer and builder is God."
Of course this scripture isn't talking about Earth, as just a few verses later it says,
"But now they are reaching out for a better place, that is, one belonging to heaven."
"Belonging to heaven"? I know, it sounds awkward. That's because this is one of WTs most obvious deliberate mis-translations. Virtually all other Bibles say 'a better place, a heavenly one', but they out of necessity twist the wording.
The scripture immediately goes on to say about Abraham and company,
"he has prepared a city for them"
and in this case the WT slips up. They include a cross reference to another scripture very close by that specifically identifies that city.
Hebrews 12:22,
"a city of the living God, heavenly Jerusalem".

The real dividing line isn’t between apostates and apologists it’s between...
by slimboyfat inexcellent observation from zizek about communist regimes: they didn’t care if people accepted the ideology or took it seriously, so long as people acted as if the ideology was true, that was the important thing.
in fact the regimes were deeply suspicious people who took the ideology too seriously.
people who took the ideology seriously were dangerous because they were prone to noticing the inconsistencies and flaws in the system.

They made a statement to that effect decades ago, about how 'unfortunately' there is a limit on what they can do to apostates.
